Big Game Books is a wee, independent poetry press located in Washington DC. Maureen Thorson founded the press in 2006 to publish short runs of chapbooks and "tinysides" (small poetry pamphlets). The press is now making its first forays into full-length books.

Big Game seeks to publish 1-2 books a year initially. We hope to draw equally from manuscripts received during our open query periods, as well as solicited submissions. We seek work that is intellectually and emotionally engaging. Something about thirty degrees left of normal. If you're trying to get a feel for our aesthetic, please check out our previously published chapbooks and tinysides. That should give you a fairly good sense of what we're about.
