SAYONARA, SUCKERS -- A FIESTA

Just sent this email announcement out -- if it didn't come round to you, my apologies. I've never done one of these big announce-y things before.

Hello all

Soon I am leaving New York City for the even steamier and more sultry pastures of Washington D.C., our nation's number one producer of hot air.

To mark this occasion, Mark and I will be holding court at the Four-Faced-Liar next Friday, August 12, from approximately 5 p.m. onwards. Stop by, have a drink, sing bawdy songs, pinch people, etc.

It shall be hearty, beery fun for all.

--Maureen

P.S. I know that many of you could probably find your way to the Liar blindfolded, but if you lack familiarity with the place, or if the consumption of too many controlled substances has rendered you incapable of recalling its precise location, here is the website, with handy directions. http://www.thefour-facedliar.com/

And don't forget! Tonight is the release party for the tiny! It's at six-thirty at Pete's Candy Store. Huzzah!

Dude! I totally saw this bike on Sunday. I was walking west to the 14th Street ACE station, saw it out of the corner of my eye, and thought, "that is pretty tricked out . . . way more than some home-mod 'oh honey, I slapped some chain mail on the bike and now I'm all bitching and medieval' thing." Just in case you think I've seen Knightriders a few too many times, Boingboing confirms that the bike was in the West Village this weekend.

This Friday, August 5, I do the reading dance, along with Erica Kaufman and Jim Behrle, in honor of the first issue of the tiny! The reading will be at six thirty p.m. at Pete's Candy Store. Eddie Berrigan's musical stylings will complete the occasion. Huzzah!
